To start off I’d have to talk about how clean and open and nice the shop itself was!! That was one thing that I just loved about this place. Of course I need to mention the delicious food they have there omg!!! I got the heirloom tomato toast and it is just to die for 😋 we also got the ham and cheese croissant, the cherry danish and the morning muffin and they were so incredibly delicious 🤤 plus 2 flavorful teas that I just adored 💙love this place so much and it would be a regular stop if I lived nearby 💙🫖💎💍📖
On a Monday mid-morning, I stopped in for a hot breve latte and a breakfast sandwich. The vibe was relaxing since it wasn't packed, but had the typical coffee shop hum. The coffee was perfectly made and full of rich flavor. (Finally, a place that serves well-roasted espresso, not bitter, burnt beans!) For the locals, they do use Hildebrand diary products, so the flavor/quality of their dairy made drinks is excellent. After gazing at the mouth-watering pastries in the display case, I ordered a breakfast sandwich (see pic). I feel good about saying it was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had (and I've had quite a few over the years)! The egg was light and fluffy, the bacon crisp...all the flavors came together, and the croissant-like bun was delectable. This was my first visit to 1900 on Mass. I'll definitely return, and I highly recommend that you also make this one of your new favorite spots.
Was invited to a breakfast. The order consisted of Chicken sandwich with fries and Mocha and Peach Danish. The service was awesome and staff was pleasant. The ambiance was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend. P.S. they have two locations. can’t wait to go back ASAP! Amazing Food
Excellent bakery, easily the best cafe in NE Kansas so far. The mortadella sandwich is outstanding, the steak sandwich is delicious, and the pastries are excellent. Everything tastes fresh and high quality. Highly recommended.
Finally made it to Barker bakery on Mass street to have some breakfast. It’s a nice and well thought out floor plan with a great atmosphere.

Barker’s is an excellent breakfast option if you’re on Mass St. There’s a limited menu, but everything is top notch with some of the best pastries in town too. Get there early, get your order in, and enjoy your favorite coffee drink.
Food is fresh, grab a table outside or in and craft your order at the counter. The pastries and croissants are spectacular. Almost old world style. The coffee is solid.
Delicious iced nitro apple cider. Great vibes, lots of tables but most of them taken up by 1 person each. Elegant vibe but still chill inside, perfect for studying / working. Heads up the kitchen closed at 3 even though they were still serving drinks so there weren't any pastries or lunch food available.
We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The staff were so kind and inviting. The latte and drip coffee were superb. It was one of the best lattes I have had in Lawrence. The breakfast burrito and verde salsa were paired well together. The burrito was hearty and great flavor. The chocolate croissant was buttery, flaky, and soft. Would highly recommend! Great atmosphere.
